Nightlife

Cookies
When in Berlin we felt it necessary to get fully acquainted with everything the city had to offer to ensure we got the full cultural experience... perfect excuse for a night out!

The first place we went for a night out was Cookies Club. Just off Friedrichstraße, Cookies features a large dance floor with two big bars, as well as various smaller rooms with more alternative music. We attended in the midst of fashion week, so as a result of this were surrounded by fashion professionals and people from the shows, this made it perfect for networking and outfit spotting. The best thing about the night was the facepainting which was offered by a group of people in this tiny little room filled with plants and mirrors. The aim was to promote their brand of clothing which featured garments covered in sequins and embellishments, as a promotional tool they were sticking gems and sequins onto party goers faces to gain recognition.

The hardest thing had to be ensuring we dressed suitable enough for the club yet with at least something to shield us from the sub zero temperatures outside, lashings of faux fur did the trick.

After a good few hours of dancing, loads of laughs and achy feet we crawled back to our beds come 7am, after getting back to the hostel just in time for breakfast. A brilliant night and I couldn't recommend Cookies enough, the perfect place to go with a big group of friends.

Puro Sky Lounge
The next night out we embarked on began as a trip to visit one of Judith's friends in his sisters studio, however it resulted in a spontaneous 3am trip to Puro Sky Lounge... only in Berlin. Puro Sky Lounge is a glamorous and stunning bar located 20 floors up and features panoramic views over the whole city, where you can dance till the early hours. We were brought in and given a table and drinks (they were loving the English accents) and then spent the whole of the night dancing on the windowsills and staring out of the floor to ceiling windows at Berlins stunning skyline. Not ones for edgy or alternative nights out, Puro was perfect for us as it meant we could dress up and wear heels whilst still feeling like we were in Berlin rather than just any old night club in a big city.

Amazing views with amazing people

Feeling very Carrie Bradshaw
